Even though I've made many journeys, the one that I make with yoga remains the most meaningful journey of all.
I moved to the UK 17 years ago from Mumbai, India. I grew up in family which placed a lot of emphasis on yoga and Ayurveda. My search for a meaningful way to integrate yoga into daily life and make it a strong undercurrent to all my pursuits led me to various treks in the Himalayas, a year of living in an international commune in South India, various ashrams and retreats, numerous yoga classes, and a dedicated home practice through all the life stages and challenges of being a young woman, then a mother, and eventually, a teacher myself.
I trained with Swami Ambikananda and the Traditional Yoga Association UK to qualify as a hatha yoga teacher here.
I've lived with my family in Caversham for just over a decade now.
I offer weekly public classes, therapeutic yoga and private classes in Reading.
